New Power Tariff effective 1 June

Hm..guess most of you heard of the news last nite on this..As consumers, we will have to pay 2.23 sen per kWh more electricity equivalent to 3354 cent per kWh effective tomorrow due to revision of gas prices for power sector..The news said that 74% of household will not be effected if the usage is less than 300kWh or RM 77 a month..

Are you included in this 74% group or otherwise? As for me, looking at my previos bill, obviously I'm not in this group..aiyark..first thing came across my mind - how to save the usage of electricity. I recall tinidewi used to put one entry on this..lets check it out over here

Image as usual from Google!

Read them? Besides that, I heard over the radio this morning, among other things that we could do to save the electricity

1. Avoid using air-conditionar - Thank God we only have on at home..but it's really difficult for us not to use them especially during hot season.

2. Off the switch of electrical appliances when not in used and also pull off the socket from the switch - Err..rarely do this..can start practise this one ya asz

My own version:

1. Switch off the lights and fan when not in used - got to remind my kids and maid cause they have this habit - always forget to switch off the lights especially after they leave the toilet

2. Plan the usage of waching machine - my washing machine works everyday, and most of the time the usage are not optimise since we separate kids clothes with ours. Of course the maid's ones are separated. May need to buy extra clothes for my maid so she can just wash hers once a week. Anyone has extra t-shirt to donate? Please do so..heheh

What else? If you have any other tips..please share yah!

Quotes of the Day...

Was chatting with a friend of mine this morning, about relationship..and because of that reminds me of this famous quotes:

Image from Mr Google..

Well, to me..if we love someone, do not hold them so tight, that could make them 'suffocate' and thus try to get away from us..they need some space for themself too..but also don't hold them too loose, cause they tend to get away from you..when they feel there's not enough love and attention..so better hold them just nice..or like people said "biar sedang-sedang aja.." hik hik hik

Tests results = Fail!

Yup, I fail my test..as a mom today..:(. And serve me right, the result was so obvious that my son's teachers knew about it..

I've been asking myself, how could I have not aware that today is the report card collection day for my first son. Poor him, as he was the only one arrived at school today. We noticed that no other students were there when we arrived,  it was not that early..so that was when I knew that today is the report card day..and the best part.. the notice was given since Wednesday! More hearbeakingly, the teachers kept on mentioning.."poor Azeem..poor Azeem.." :(

Ya ya, my fault..I was the one who didn't check his school bag this very week..I was so focus on his sister's exams that I unnoticely forget that I have another son who is also schooling..:(

Admittedly, I found it difficult to give undivided attention to all my children at one time..Isn't multitasking is given to all women so we could do more than one thing at a time..how could I have not utilised that gift?

I just don't want him to experience the same that I had before as the middle child..

Transgander..

Was having our dinner last 2 nites when heard over the news that a man seeks for change of his name to that of a woman. To me, this indicates that he has gone through change of gander, and changing his name on the IC seems to be the final step towards transforming himself to a women..

Image from The Star online. Details of the news here

That reminds me of what been thought during last Wednesday class on one hadith as follow:

Three groups will not enter heaven forever: Al-Dayyus, al-Rijlah from women circle and alcoholic. They asked: We knew about the alcoholic, so whom Al-Dayyus? The Prophet answered: those who does not care who enter to family member. We asked again: What is al-Rijlah? Prophet answered: woman that resembling man. [Hadith Al-Tobarani]

Ustad explained, that the same goes to man that resembling woman..they will remain in neraka forever..astaghfirullah..I am not sure what would be the 'hukum' in this case..As human, we have no rights to judge people..whatever it is, lets avoid such as I'm sure we don't want not being able to enter heaven forever..

MLM

Was blog walking and found out that this interesting topic..I never trusted MLM..dunno why since I first understand basically how it works, I just don't like the concept it operates..

My first understanding on basically how MLM works happened when I was still in primary school, when my parents were introduced by a relatives on this concept. If I remembered correctly, during that time they were already the stockist of the products, I couldn't remember exactly what they are. Of course we were pretty excited to become like them..well at least I was. That relatives of ours arranged a session, whereby a guy explained to my parents and I joined them on how MLM works..u know all the downliner and all.You what was the first thought came to my mind? Isn't this concept kind of abusing especially to the downliners? Those at the bottom got to work real hard to sell while those who are at the top simply enjoying the hard work of others? Ever since, I never trusted the concept of MLM..So that was how I made up my mind that I don't like MLM concept.

Image googled

Nevertheless, having such believes since then doesn't mean that I have never been involved in MLM, my husband and I did..we were both young, just married and were easily influenced by a friend to join MLM on a health products which were priced at RM 200++ per bottle. As normal, those upliners convinced us to invest more than five digits with sweet2 promises that they will do all the selling, while what we need to do is just to invest the money and find our downliners..As you can guess, the stocks stucked with us, and we never get our money back till now..so obviously we were the victim of this business concept!

Lesson learnt! There's no such easy money in this world! It requires hard work to earn every penny..I'm sure some of you must have not agree with me on this..but if you earn from MLM by selling products more than finding downliners, that is not so bad laa..otherwise, I'm sorry, I couldn't agree with you..

There's so many other ways to invest rather than MLM..they are just not for us..no no..

This Wednesday Morning..

This morning, I got to drive on my own since Mr Hubby is expecting that he's gonna be late, and my colleague whom always give me a ride home will not be available today..If I were to drive, I always choose to leave the house early, hoping to get free parking at the office, but rarely put such high hope coz normally even if I leave home at 7.00, the free parking is already full by the time I reach office around 7.45 am.

So today, I left home at 7.00, by the time I turn to the federal highway, I got a sms on my phone from hubby - "Your wallet is left at home". Hmm..my reaction..to be honest..no feeling..normally I will easily get panic..of course la no money, how to pay the parking? my breakfast, my lunch? What if I got caught driving without license..Somehow this morning, I was like kind of redha..I pray to Allah to ease my way, as I believe Allah is giving such a simple test this morning. I leave it to Allah to determine my fate this morning..

Image - Thanks to Mr Google!

At the same time, I checked the money we left in car for tol purposes, alhamdulillah, got RM 1 notes x 7 = RM 7, just enough for me to park outside. So I decided not worth to turn back home. Even if the RM 7 parking is full, I still got extra coins in the car, another RM 1 would be sufficient to park next to Plaza Pantai..lunch? breakfast? No choice but to lend it from colleagues of mine..

So what happened? Alhamdulillah, got to park my car at the RM 7 parking. By the time I reached office, I told a colleage what happened, and so she lend me her money for today.. Alhamduillah..Thanks K. SHA for your kindness..only Allah can reciprocate your goodwill..:D

World is the Assessment Platform…

Understand the meaning of the title? I bet you are..to those who still didn’t get it..direct translation is “Dunia ini pentas ujian…”

Yes, as a Muslim we all know this fact right? This is a temporary world for us..death is definite..akhirat is the eternal world that we should be targeting to live happily ever after for…Heaven should be our final destinations..

My hubby shared with me on Friday prayers khutbah last week that we should be clear of our destinations. As such we should choose the right path to get there. It’s like travelling, if you want to reach Johor, but then you get a ride on Perak’s bus, you will definitely not reach Johor for sure..so same with us, if our destinations is Jannah, then choose the right path, otherwise….I guess you know the answer..

The recent landslide incidents at the orphanage, amputation of a volunter at the scene and death news of 25th mommy who given birth are among the events that remind myself that all these are examples of test Allah put on us as makhluk. Test could come in two ways, either in the form of convenience or hardship. Hardship is easier to pass, but convenience..people tend to fail..why? because we always fail to remember Allah when we are at ease, when we are wealthy, when we succeed..right?

Ustad told us during the ugama class, that when we are in hardship, it is actually the sign that Allah loves us. When Allah loves us, he put more test on us, make our life difficult all because Allah wants us to always remember Allah. Oppose to us, human..when we love someone, we tend to give everything to the one we love..very simple example..to our kids, we tend to buy things that they want isn’t it? like PS3, handphones..laptop..didn’t we realize that they actually love those gadget more than us, when they spend more time with them as compared to the time they spend with us when there's no gadgets?
Aren’t we as parents want to give them the best they could have in this world? If your answer is yes, then give them the Islamic knowledge..we should be more worry of them not reaching the heaven rather than some other things in this world..
Am writing this, not to say that I’m really religious..to be honest I am not..I’m writing this as a reminder to myself..and hope this could benefit you as well..
